SBCT Gets Educated...
Education is one of our major commitments here at SBCT. The theatre annually awards the Paul & Addy Prior Memorial Scholarship to college-bound area students every year. See below for more information on our educational programs. The Director's Workshop Program and
Semi-Annual Playwriting ContestEvery other year, we offer our Director's Workshop Program where our experienced mainstage directors mentor someone making their first attempt at directing. We put the results of this into an evening of one act plays. For information on either one of the programs contact us at Info@SamBassTheatre.com.
Youth Guild Program
SBCT has expanded our educational programs with a hands-on way for our area's youth to learn the crafts and skills involved in the performing arts. SBCT Youth Guild is a learning experience that includes everything from what goes on behind the scenes backstage to performing experiences that culminate in an annual production on stage. Learning by doing is the motto of this exciting program.

The program is under the supervision of the theatre's Executive Board of Directors. For more information, call the theatre at (512) 244-0440. This scholarship is only available to area residents.
